YOUR ASSURANCE ... You know you have eternal life because:

God keeps His promise:

You repented of your sin (Acts 3:19)
You placed your faith in Jesus (Eph. 2:8-9)
You surrendered to Jesus as Lord (Rom 10:9-10)

God heard your prayer.

"whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Rom 10:13)

God recorded your commitment

"Rejoice, because your names are written in heaven: (Luke 10:20)

You need to grow as a Christian.

Sin can keep that from happening. But God promises in I John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." That means that if you sin you need to confess (tell on yourself) to God. "He is faithful" means He will always forgive you. And "just" means that God is fair to forgive you because He already punished every sin you’ve ever done when Jesus died for you on the cross.

You can get to know God better by reading and obeying His Word, the Bible.

Another thing that can help you grow in God is by talking to God in prayer.

Going to a church and Sunday school that teach from the Bible will help you know Him better too.

You can also tell others about Jesus too! We are part of the same family!
